Potassium - Day 4 - Throne of Cancer
We remember at the Round Table.
The twelve thrones do not divide matter: they surround it in order to know it from its totality. At the center remains Excalibur, the axis of calibration, and beneath its invisible blade the Philosopher’s Stone is formed as the conscious ordering of the matter being contemplated. For thirteen days, each throne observes the same particle, measures it through its function, and delivers its perspective to the center. At the end of the cycle, Toth-Merlin gathers the twelve perspectives and seals a new layer of the Stone.
At the center of the circle, Excalibur defines the axis and marks the North. During this cycle, its form is expressed as Potassium; element symbol K and atomic number 19. This is the substance we bring into order. Particle number 19 of the Philosopher’s Stone enters the Round Table today to be observed from the throne of Cancer.
Today we share the point of view of Cancer. From this throne, we observe where Potassium remains within the organism. Cancer directs its gaze toward the cellular enclosure, where most of the body’s Potassium remains contained and participates in preserving internal conditions.
K⁺ is the principal cation of the intracellular space. Approximately 98% of the body’s Potassium is found inside cells, where its concentration is much higher than in extracellular fluid. This distribution is essential for maintaining cell volume, membrane electrical potential, and numerous metabolic functions.
The membrane boundary does not maintain this difference passively. Pumps, channels, and transporters constantly regulate the movement of ions in and out. The cell therefore maintains an internal environment distinct from the space surrounding it, and this organized difference forms part of the conditions that allow it to function.
When observed from the throne of Cancer, Potassium reveals that a living interior is not identical to its surroundings. It needs to preserve its own proportions in order to relate to that which exists outside.
Excalibur calibrates particle number 19 to distinguish refuge from isolation. Potassium teaches that containment means maintaining the internal conditions necessary for life to continue. The boundary does not separate in order to deny the outside world: it organizes exchange with it.
A candle is lit before you as a reflection of the center. Its flame reveals the state of inner protection and accompanies the fine calibration of the particle. As you hold your gaze, containment finds its order and the fourth face of the Philosopher’s Stone is polished. Potassium remains contained. The wheel continues its conscious turning.
⸻
Thus, today we undertake this practice:
Mind — Focus
Hold a single affirmation internally:“I preserve the inner conditions that sustain my life.”Allow the mind to remain serene, protective, and fully conscious of what needs to be preserved.
Emotion — Cleansing with the Candle
Place a lit candle in front of you.Observe it silently for at least three complete breaths.Allow the flame to dissolve the emotions associated with invasion: the difficulty of protecting your intimacy, the fear of establishing a boundary, and the tendency to completely close off what needs a regulated exchange. The emotion is brought into order through conscious protection.
Action — Integration into the Body
Pour yourself a glass of water.Hold the glass between your hands and say:“I preserve my inner space and allow conscious exchange.”Repeat it three times, consciously.Drink the water slowly, integrating into your body the stability that allows you to protect your inner conditions without closing yourself off from exchange with the world.

Alchemical Seal
I am the new state of consciousness.
Avra Kehdabra — I create as I speak.
